Fur Seals - The Northern Fur Seal Population is considered depleted under the Marine Mammal Protection Act due to the declining population. Especially important for Fur Seals are the rookeries on St. Paul Island, home of the largest population of fur seals.

MCA Foundation  – A branch of the Marine Conservation Alliance, a coalition of fisheries organizations in Alaska being responsible stewards of the resource by cleaning 1.5 million pounds of debris off the beaches of Alaska, and tackling the Ocean Clipper removal.
Magone Marine  – An expert salving operation out of Dutch Harbor contracted to remove the Ocean Clipper, led by owner Dan Magone.

NOAA Recovery - NOAA projects funded by the 2009 Recovery Act have focused towards navigation, vessel maintenance, climate modeling and other projects like the removal of the F/V Ocean Clipper.
